Women's Week
Campus Kolding kicked off Women’s Week 2025 with a sold-out opening event!
On Monday, March 3rd, 2025, UC SYD, in collaboration with Campus Kolding, opened the doors to the official opening event of Women’s Week Kolding.
The event was held in the Campus area for the first time, where Campus Kolding hosted a festive evening with bubbles, snacks, and the inspiring talk “Make it Cool to Care” by Sofie Riise Nors – former design student and now a leading voice of fourth-wave feminism.
The overwhelming engagement from the people of Kolding led to a sold-out event, where we came together to truly make it “Cool to Care.” You can take a look back at the highlights from the evening in the rest of the article.
Get ready for when Women’s Week Kolding returns in week 10 of 2026!
“Women’s Week is an entire week dedicated to conversation, reflection, and engagement, where cultural institutions, associations, and local actors in Kolding come together to create a series of events, talks, and workshops.”
Talk: Make it Cool to Care by Sofie Riise Nors
How do we create a culture where it’s cool to listen to our own needs and take responsibility for one another? Author and illustrator Sofie Riise Nors took us on a thought-provoking journey through contemporary feminist and sexual ideals—challenging us to reexamine what truly matters.
The evening offered sharp perspectives, honest conversations, and a glimpse into the feminist struggle from the Redstocking era to the fourth wave. How can we make it “cool to care” in a world that often celebrates the opposite? And how can we create space to openly discuss our real desires?
About Sofie Riise Nors: Sofie graduated from Designschool Kolding with a BA in Communicationsdesign in 2017. In 2019 she illustrated the feminist debate book Gode Kasser (Gyldendal) by Ditte Hansen and Louise Mieritz. She made her debut as a graphic novelist in 2021 with the 4th wave feminist cult classic Sexmagasinet Vol. 1 (Cobolt). In 2024 she published Jeg var din muse (Cobolt) about the violent and romanticized relationships between historical mythical and popcultural muses and their artists.
