KONTUR is Kolding’s very own student start-of-year festival – bringing together students from across the city’s institutions.
It was all about celebration, colors, and community as the sun shone over Godset UNJFOR for Kontur Student Festival 2025. Students from IBA, SDU, UC SYD, and Design School gathered for two days of magical concerts, creative workshops, chill lounge areas, and a massive party!
You can already mark your calendar for Thursday, September 3rd, and Friday, September 4th, 2026, when Kontur returns once again to celebrate Kolding’s students.

Star-Studded Music Lineup
In 2025, Kolding’s students could look forward to a star-studded music program.
On Thursday, the stage was set for collective dancing with saxophones, instrumental euphoria, and sweat-dripping moves as Smag På Dig Selv took the stage and danced among the crowd. They were followed by none other than Denmark’s pop icon Saint Clara, who, together with her backup dancers, had the entire audience singing along to “Oh My God”, “Progress (Crying Like a Bitch)”, and “Boys Don’t Cry”.
Friday began with the beautiful, vulnerable, and powerful Svea S, performing her gold- and platinum-certified singles “Mindst Ondt” and “Hvor Solen Ik' Skinner”. She was followed by Denmark’s most exciting rapper, none other than MAS, who at just 26 years old has already been on Spotify’s global top 10 and sold out shows at Store Vega and VoxHall.

Kontur is the students’ party
Kolding has a unique and creative study environment filled with passionate and dedicated students – and this was highlighted at Kontur 2025, where the students helped make the festival truly unforgettable!
The festival’s hosts were Petra and Bingo (pictured), who both study at Sonic College at UC SYD.
Thursday’s music program included the artists Emil Bror, Shrinking Woman, Duevang, and Sky&Kyst, all of whom study at UC SYD. The program was put together in collaboration with Sonic Showcase, which consists of volunteer students from Sonic College.
On Friday, it was DJ Linnea Borch who kicked off the party with her energetic sets. When she’s not behind the decks, Linnea studies at SDU Kolding.
Festive activities
At Kontur 2025, students could meet several of the city’s local players who contributed to the great atmosphere with fun and creative activities.
Kolding Libraries: International music quiz with concert and cinema tickets up for grabs.
TRIO: JazzHaus chill zone with smooth vinyls, jazzy vibes, and a relaxed atmosphere created by young volunteers.
Trapholt: Re-creation of one of Michael Kvium’s iconic figures, where participants had a Polaroid photo taken in front of their “Performers” wall.
HK South Jutland: Wheel of fortune, cornhole, and free popcorn.
Campus Sport: Basketball challenge.
Food Reformers: Free cinnamon rolls and fun competitions.
Redux: Pop-up Hyg & Byg, where you could try repairing a lamp and get inspiration on extending the life of furniture.
Easy Food: Sponsored surplus food.
Campus Kolding: Beautiful flower crowns, colorful glitter makeup, creative badges, friendship bracelets, and Astro pop-up.
On Thursday, Business Kolding and Kolding’s business community sponsored one hour of free draft beer, soda, and water for all participants!
