Free counselling and psychological support

At Studenterrådgivningen, you can get free help as a student if you experience racing thoughts, stress, feelings of inadequacy, doubt, or just don’t feel well. They offer personal sessions, group therapy, and workshops.

Well-being courses

Mindfulness

Mindfulness can help you reduce stress, manage racing thoughts, or create better balance in everyday life. The goal is to give you tools to find calm, gain perspective, and strengthen your mental well-being through training in presence and awareness. There are free courses in Kolding where you can learn techniques for calm and balance.

“The Body Project”

The Body Project is a free group program for women aged 14–25 who want a healthier relationship with their body and appearance. The program helps challenge unrealistic beauty ideals and strengthens body appreciation and self‑acceptance. It consists of four sessions and is offered both in person and online.

Strengthened Youth Support

Strengthened Youth Support offers help to young people in Kolding who need extra support with wellbeing, daily structure, or the transition into adult life. Together with a youth advisor, you’ll receive a tailored plan that fits your situation—whether it relates to family, school, mental health, or finding your path forward.

Self-help groups

Frivillig Kolding

Frivillig Kolding is the volunteer center of Kolding Municipality, located in the old post office near the train station. Here you’ll find everything from exciting events and volunteer associations to self-help groups and networks. You can read more on their website or visit them in person.

Kompas

Frivillig Kolding has launched a new project called KOMPAS. The project brings together over 30 associations to strengthen young people’s well-being in Kolding. The purpose of the project is to create new communities and activities for young people. It’s a free initiative that gathers associations and young people who want to do fun things together.

KOMPAS Mentor

KOMPAS Mentor is a service for young people aged 17–35 who need help tackling life’s challenges. You have the opportunity to be assigned a mentor who is there to support and guide you on your journey toward improved well-being and independence.

Ventilen

Have you ever felt a bit lonely? Then Ventilen might be for you! Ventilen Kolding is a volunteer-driven network where you can meet others who wants to overcome loneliness. Ventilen organizes activities like movie nights, board game evenings, and more. It’s a safe space where you can be yourself and practice social skills – everyone is welcome.
