Students to serve as GROW well-being ambassadors

With support from TrygFonden, Campus Kolding will in collaboration with the youth organization GROW train well-being ambassadors.

A growing number of Danish youth report feelings of loneliness and experiences of discontent, according to Børns Vilkår. With 347,800 DKK from TrygFonden, Campus Kolding aims to enhance students well-being in Kolding by training well-being ambassadors across the educational institutions with practical tools. The project emphasizes the prevention of discontent among students through the involvement of students themselves.

The project will roll out in early September, focusing on 1. and 2. year students.

GROW Well-being Ambassadors

There are 30 spots available across Campus Kolding's educational institutions.

As an ambassador, one must go through a program consisting of 100 hours of training spread over 4 modules spanning 9 months. The program is free with an obligation to contribute voluntarily for 15 hours per month.

The program is led by Klaus and Amalie-Lærke from Grow and covers themes such as community and group dynamics, communication, conflict resolution, co-creation of activities, stress prevention, self-esteem, and self-confidence.

As ambassadors, participants will be equipped with practical tools, a certificate, personal skills, as well as professional skills. They are therefore given an education for life!

Does it sound like something for you? Then you can sign up as a well-being ambassador!

About Grow

GROW is a youth organization founded in 2021 by a large group of professional and passionate young individuals. They have come together to create the organization they themselves missed during their upbringing and education. With GROW, they aim to focus on imparting knowledge and creating communities they wish they had learned about earlier in life.

"I founded GROW because I believe that all young people have the right to meaningful communities and life-changing tools."
- Klaus Østergaard Nielsen (Chairperson and instructor)

"I am part of GROW to provide young people with life-changing communities and tools so they can find self-loving homes within themselves." - Amalie-Lærke Thisted Jørgensen (Vice Chairperson and education coordinator)
