Joint Open House at Campus Kolding 2026

Open House is the perfect opportunity to explore Kolding’s wide range of educational options and experience student life up close — whether you’re local or coming from afar!

On Saturday January 31st 2026 from 12 PM to 3 PM, you can visit Kolding’s four higher education institutions and learn more about SDU, IBA, UC SYD, and Kolding School of Design — all in one day. You can also get a taste of student life in Kolding, visit a student apartment, and meet the Campus Kolding team, who will be ready to share insights about the city’s communities and activities.

Joint Open House is a unique chance to discover Kolding’s 45 higher education programs.

At Campus Kolding, we have four different higher education institutions, offering programs in everything from it, entrepreneurship and design to economics, pedagogy, sounddesign and much more!

University of Southern Denmark: Universitetsparken 1, 6000 Kolding.

UC SYD: Universitetsparken 2, 6000 Kolding.

International Business Academy: Havneparken 1, 6000 Kolding.

Design School Kolding: Ågade 10, 6000 Kolding.

Activities for everyone

During Open House, you can get a taste of student life by taking part in a range of free activities.

Our coffee cart offers delicious coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, which you can enjoy while walking around campus and visiting the educations and student apartments. You’ll find the coffee cart in the square in front of SDU Kolding.

Free Concerts

KOLD Festival heats up the town with a series of red-hot concerts. In collaboration with the educational institutions, you can experience a selection of free concerts during Open House. Read more about KOLD Festival here.

The band Life of a Busker will play from 12.00 PM at IBA University of Applied Sciences Kolding. Look forward to soft, English-language pop sounds and honest lyrics about love, anxiety, and modern adult life.

Singer Debbie Sings will host a talk and concert at UC SYD from 3.00 PM. The event is a “Sonic Showcase” organized by students from Sonic College.

Campus Kolding

If you have questions about student life or student housing, you can find our student assistants at all the educational institutions. They’re ready to help with everything from must-attend study start events to recommendations for great places in the city.

At IBA Erhversakademi Kolding and UC SYD, you can take part in our badge workshop, where you can get creative and make your own small keepsake from the day.

Also stop by the Campus Container to get an insight into student life. Here, we’ve created an exhibition with photos from last year’s events. You’ll find the container in the square in front of SDU Kolding.

Visit Student Housing

During Open House, selected student housing near campus will be open for visits in collaboration with StudentKolding. If you want to learn more about different housing companies and portals in Kolding, you can read more here.

Kolding Åpark 18 (Alfabo)

At Kolding Åpark, you can find 1- and 2-room apartments. They range in size from 34 - 47 m², with rents between DKK 3,641 - 4,897 (excl. utilities). All apartments have their own kitchen with a refrigerator, built-in freezer, and ceramic glass cooktop. In addition, all apartments feature a French balcony, a storage room, and access to a shared laundry, as well as a shared common area/terrace with green planting beds and seating.

You can show up at Kolding Åpark 18, 3.303 (3rd floor) for a viewing with Duarte, who is one of our international students. Use the stairs and knock on the apartment door.
